Life is a Highway
Jack Lyons was born March 26, 2005. He was diagnosed with Autism at age 8 and then later Epilepsy at age 12.
Jack was taken from us unexpectantly on April 24, 2022. This was not quite one month after his 17th Birthday.
To say that Jack was kind-hearted and so full of appreciation for so many of the small but important things in life does not even touch it. Jack was passionate about his Family, Friends, Teachers/ EA’s, Neighbours and all things Hockey. Jack was also King of the Bay with his Jack Lyons ‘Dives’ into Trout Lake and his love for the water, the boat and watching his dad, Sister or Mom Water ski. He approached tubing and the Sea Doo with a nervous excitement, but his brave spirit would ultimately win to let him enjoy the ride!
Jack knew that ‘Life is Highway’, but He did not hesitate to slow down the drive to wave, chat up the passerby’s (especially the Girls), and show off his Biking skills on the Tandem with Dad or his Fat bike with Mom running beside.
Jacks Battalion Family and Bobby Orr have proven to be the ‘Real Deal’ in life and in loss. Jack was a legend at the Hockey Games and Giant Jack sized hugs always seem to be countless buckets of balls with his dad at the Pinewood Park Golf Course Driving Range and his time there made enough of an impact that the Range is now Named in honour of Jack.
Jacks’ spirit continues to live on with the Good that is done in his name, for One Kids Place and many other initiatives, because of the support of this amazing Community.
